1. Agreement to these terms
By using OnFika’s client booking and payment services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use those services. Our Terms of Use also apply to your general use of OnFika websites and accounts, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
We may update these terms as the service changes or legal requirements develop. The updated version will be published here with a new date. Changes will normally apply to future bookings or orders and will not change terms you already accepted unless the law allows or requires it.
2. Key terms
- Business means a salon, barber, spa, clinic, wellness provider, independent professional or other service provider listed on OnFika.
- Appointment means a booking for one or more services made through OnFika.
- Business terms means the price, service, time, location, deposit, cancellation, no-show, refund and other terms shown before you confirm an Appointment.
- Order means an order for a product or other item offered through OnFika, where that feature is enabled.
- OnFika services means the marketplace, public business pages, booking tools, payment tools, client account and related communications.
3. OnFika’s role and the business relationship
OnFika provides technology that helps you discover and book businesses. The contract for the service you receive is between you and the relevant business. OnFika does not own or operate the listed businesses, employ their professionals or provide the treatment, product or other service itself.
We may act on a business’s instructions to send a booking request, issue a confirmation, collect an enabled payment or communicate changes. The business remains responsible for the service, its staff, premises, safety, quality, prices, refunds and compliance with applicable law.
4. Accounts and accurate information
- You may be able to book as a guest or create a OnFika account. Provide accurate and complete contact details and keep them current.
- Keep your password and one-time verification codes confidential. Do not share codes except when authorising the specific action they describe.
- Use your own account and do not impersonate another person or create an account without permission.
- If your contact, health or accessibility information changes and it may affect an appointment, tell the business before the appointment.
5. Making and managing an appointment
Select the business, service, professional, date and time you want. Before confirmation, check the full details, price, location, duration, deposit, cancellation policy and any business-specific restrictions. Availability is subject to the business’s calendar and the booking is confirmed only when OnFika or the business sends a confirmation.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, use the controls in your booking, contact the business directly or contact OnFika through the available support channel. Whether a change is free, possible or refundable depends on the business terms that applied when you booked.
6. Health, accessibility and suitability information
Before an appointment or product purchase, tell the business about allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy, injuries, sensitivities, accessibility needs or other information that could affect the service. Check with the business that the service or product is suitable for you and follow any preparation or aftercare instructions it provides.
OnFika is not a medical provider and does not assess whether a service or product is suitable. If you fail to share information that a reasonable provider would need, the business may be unable to provide the service safely or may need to change or cancel it.
7. Service communications and SMS
We may send confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notices, payment updates, security messages and other service communications to the phone number, email address or messaging channel you provide. These messages are needed to operate the booking service and are not a promise that every message will be delivered on time.
Where optional promotional messages are available, we will request any consent required by law and provide an unsubscribe option. You can change communication preferences in your account or use the opt-out instructions in the message. Standard message or data charges may apply, and mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Prices, payments and receipts
Prices, currencies, deposits, processing charges and taxes are shown by the business or payment provider where available. The final amount may change if you request additional services, products, tips or changes at the business. Any optional tip is separate from the service price and is at your discretion.
Depending on the business and country, OnFika may support mobile money, card, cash, deposits, partial payments or other methods. Online payments may be handled by a third-party payment processor under its own terms and privacy notice. OnFika may receive a payment status or transaction reference without receiving the full payment credentials.
A receipt or booking confirmation is evidence of the transaction recorded by OnFika, but a tax invoice may need to be requested from the business.
9. Deposits, cancellations and no-shows
A business may require a deposit or upfront payment to secure an Appointment. Deposits may be refundable or non-refundable depending on the business terms shown before you confirm. A cancellation or no-show charge may be up to the amount disclosed in those terms, subject to applicable consumer law.
If you cancel within the permitted period, the business terms may allow a refund or release you from the charge. If you cancel late or do not attend, the disclosed policy may permit the business or its authorised payment provider to collect a fee. A business may choose to waive a fee, but it is not required to do so unless the law or the business terms require it.
If the business cancels, cannot provide the confirmed service or agrees that a refund is due, the business is responsible for resolving that outcome. OnFika may help route the request or provide transaction information.
10. Products, vouchers and promotional codes
If a business offers products, vouchers or promotional codes through OnFika, the business sets the applicable description, price, validity, redemption, delivery, return and refund terms. Check those terms before purchasing. A code may be withdrawn or cancelled if it is expired, used in breach of its conditions, transferred when personal, altered or used fraudulently.
The business is responsible for fulfilling products, vouchers and promotions. OnFika may disable a promotion, prevent misuse or assist with a support request, but does not guarantee that a business will honour an offer outside its stated terms.
11. Complaints and reviews
If you have a concern about a service, product, charge or appointment, contact the business first and provide the relevant booking details. You may also contact OnFika through our support channels and we will try to help route the issue. Nothing here removes any consumer rights or remedies that apply to you.
Reviews must be based on a genuine experience and should be accurate, relevant, respectful and lawful. OnFika may moderate or remove content that is deceptive, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory, unrelated or otherwise violates our Terms of Use.
12. Account suspension and ending access
We may restrict or deactivate an account or booking where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce these terms, respond to a legal requirement or protect the security and integrity of OnFika. We may also decline a booking where the business or payment provider cannot accept it.
13. Disclaimers and liability
OnFika is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous availability of a business, error-free payment processing or that every business listing is complete or accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, OnFika is not responsible for the acts or omissions of a business, professional, payment provider, messaging carrier, map provider or other third party, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
